Notes on battery disposal
In connection with the sale of batteries or the supply of devices containing batteries, we are obliged to inform you of the following:
As an end-user, you are legally obliged to return used batteries. You can return old batteries that we stock or have stocked as new batteries free of charge to our dispatch warehouse (shipping address). The symbols shown on the batteries have the following meaning:
The symbol of the crossed-out wheeled bin means that the battery must not be disposed of with household waste.
Pb = battery contains more than 0.004% by mass of lead
Cd = battery contains more than 0.002% by mass of cadmium
Hg = battery contains more than 0.0005% by mass of mercury.

Information on the Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act
The Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG) contains a variety of requirements for handling electrical and electronic equipment. The most important ones are summarised here.
1. Separate collection of old appliances
Electrical and electronic equipment that has become waste is referred to as old appliances. Owners of old appliances must dispose of them separately from unsorted municipal waste. Old appliances do not belong in household waste, but in special collection and return systems.
2. Batteries and accumulators
Owners of old appliances must generally separate old batteries and accumulators that are not enclosed by the old appliance from the latter before handing them in at a collection point. This does not apply if the old appliances are handed in to public waste disposal authorities and are separated there from other old appliances for the purpose of preparing for reuse.
3. Options for returning old appliances
Owners of old appliances from private households can hand them in at the collection points of public waste disposal authorities or at the take-back points set up by manufacturers or distributors within the meaning of the ElektroG. 4. Data protection notice
Old appliances often contain sensitive personal data. This applies in particular to information and communication technology devices such as computers and smartphones. Please note, in your own interest, that each end-user is responsible for deleting the data on old appliances to be disposed of.
5. Meaning of the symbol "crossed-out wheeled bin"
The symbol of a crossed-out wheeled bin, which is regularly depicted on electrical and electronic equipment,
indicates that the respective appliance must be collected separately from unsorted municipal waste at the end of its service life.
6. Manufacturer registration number
